Dear Allegiant parents and players,
We want to thank everyone for their patience with all of the unknown factors this season. This year has been very devastating to everyone in so many different ways. The health and safety of our Allegiant families is very important to us. We would like to acknowledge the first responders, health care workers, and all essential employees who risk their own health to provide the services that we need daily. We also want to offer our gratitude to the teachers and school staff who continue to be a support system for our athletes and their families. We will continue to pray for all of these amazing individuals.
Now it is with a heavy heart that we must announce the NTR cancellation of the remaining tournaments this season. With this being said, Allegiant Volleyball Club will continue to provide services to it's players and families. We are working diligently to secure a location for practices, camps, clinics, and private lessons. We have also been communicating with other clubs in order to hold scrimmages against their teams.
There will be several return to play guidelines that we must follow in order to ensure the safety of all our athletes and coaches. We will send out more information regarding this when a practice location has been established. For more information we will be using the USAV Return to Play Guidelines. Additional information can be found on our COVID-19 page.
With the impact Coronavirus has had on our youth this year, we believe that club volleyball is crucial when it comes to their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Our coaches will continue to help guide and support our athletes through this difficult time.
While we will be returning to play, our summer program is NOT mandatory. It is understandable if you don't feel comfortable returning to play due to Covid. We recommend that every parent and athlete do what they feel is safe. No player will be ridiculed or held accountable for missing summer program. However, if they are not involved in the summer program, we strongly suggest they workout and find other ways to practice during this time. Tryouts for both club and school volleyball will begin in late July-early August.
We are very excited to get back on the court and can't wait to see our players and their families. We have missed you all so much! See you soon and God Bless!
Here are the details regarding 2020 Tryout policy approved by the NTR Jr. Board
Allegiant will be posting more information on dates, times and other important Tryout information soon.
The purpose of this club is to provide a safe environment where young athletes will improve in the game of volleyball and learn the important values of team, spirit and sportsmanship. We will encourage the development of skills and techniques necessary for players to compete at a high level, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional development of all players. We will utilize the sport of volleyball to teach life-long lessons to our players (leadership, teamwork, hard work ethic, dealing with adversity and success, communication, ethics, loyalty etc.) We also want our members to understand the importance of academics and other necessities beyond the volleyball court in order to be successful in life. We will strive to “Develop Better Players, Better Teams, Better People.”
